Adding Appointments to the Calendar

Adding Appointments to the Calendar

The Jituzu Calendar offers 3 views:

  • Month
  • Week
  • Day

Your account will automatically default to the Week view as that is the most commonly used view.

Appointments can be added to the Jituzu calendar in 3 ways:

  • Select a specific provider and click on the time under the appropriate date (day or week view) or the calendar date (month view), and the Enter Appointments box will pop up and an appointment can be added.
  • Click on Search Availability and select the days of the week or times of the day you would like to Search.  Click Search.  A list of available appointments will pop up.  Select a specific appointment and the Enter Appointments box will pop up and an appointment can be added.
  • A client can schedule an appointment via the Client Portal.  A Client Portal subscription is required.

1)  Adding an appointment through the calendar.

Select a specific provider and click on the time under the appropriate date (day or week view) or the calendar date (month view), and the Enter Appointments box will pop up.

In the example below, we clicked on 9:00 a.m. under March 22nd, and the Enter Appointments box popped up, pre-populated with the selected appointment time, and the default appointment length for the provider.

An appointment may also be add by clicking on the date.  In this case, you would also need to select the Start Time.

2)  Search Availability - This search may be done when viewing the individual provider calendar or when View Entire Group is selected.

  • Click on Search Availability
  • Narrow the search parameters by day of the week or time of day if desired, and click Search.
  • Click on the available appointment desired.

The Enter Appointments box will pop up.  Select the client and click Save and the appointment will be added to the appropriate provider calendar.

3)   From the Client Portal - If the client has a Client Portal account connected with their provider, and the provider has configured the client portal to allow self-scheduling by clients, the client can add an appointment to the provider calendar.  To see what it looks like from the Client Portal perspective please view:  Client Portal from the Client Perspective

When a client self-schedules an appointment, Jituzu will send the provider an Inbox message letting them know that a client has scheduled an appointment.

The appointment itself will also let the provider know that it was scheduled by the client.  In the example below, under Notes, the provider will see "scheduled by patient" which indicates that the client scheduled the appointment.  The Client Note in the yellow shaded area, was added by the client in the portal.  The provider will see a red line on the left side of the appointment if the client has written a note when scheduling an appointment.

The appointment can be marked as a videoconference under Other Options also.  The video conference option will only appear if the Provider has a Client Portal subscription and the client has a Client Portal account created that is joined to the provider.
